Summary: Howard has a passion that makes him feel all good inside, what he turns to when he is down. Howard B. Wigglebottom loves to DANCE! One day when he was at school, his friends at school made fun of him for dancing and this hurt Howard. He wanted his friends to like him and accept him. Consequently, he vowed to NEVER dance again. He attempted many other things he could be good at and his friends like him for, but he couldn't seem find anything that suited him. This saddened Howard, so much that his grandfather asked him to talk about what was obviously bothering him. Howard poured his heart out to his grandfather, his grandfather turned to him and let him know that if dancing makes him happy, then he should dance and be happy. Together they danced and taught each other new dance moves until one day, Howard's school announces a school dance. Howard was nervous. At the dance all if his friends were dancing, and although Howard was scared, he closed his eyes and he danced! When he opened his eyes, he was surprised to see that his friends were all watching and began to cheer for him! Howard suddenly felt all the good in his heart and was so, very happy.

Personal Reaction: Adorable story with very attractive illustrations. Fun book to read, encourages the carefree, don;t judge me attitude. I really like how he describes his feeling good and not feeling good inside when talking about being happy or sad.

Extension Ideas: Great book to read when discussing "Bucket Filler" concept. Useful for Mental Health, discussing bullying and emotions with various expressions.
