This is the fourth in a series of books set in the fictional Caper Court barristers chambers. When published in the 1990s, these books were frequently described as "racy". Whilst that term now seems somewhat dated, these books have aged somewhat better. They offer a light entertaining read. The love lives of the barristers and those around them feature far more prominently than any of the cases they are working on. There is no need to have read the earlier books in the series in order to enjoy this one, though it might be appreciated more by those who have done so. ( )
