Conclusión de la odisea de Roland y sus compañeros en defensa de la Torre Oscura, ahora que ya ha nacido Mordred, cuya única obsesión es destruir a Roland y malograr su misión redentora de preservar la Torre que sustenta nuestro mundo. Sólo quedan tres personajes para culminar el objetivo. Cuando Roland acceda a la torre envuelta en rosales, ascenderá a través de sus propios recuerdos: los peligros siguen acechándolo, pero él ya está en posesión de las respuestas adecuadas.
Todo lo bueno se acaba, lector fiel, y ni siquiera Stephen King es capaz de narrar una historia que nunca termina. Último libro de la saga la Torre Oscura de Stephen King. Bajo mi opinión una buena conclusión de la saga (pese a que va a sacar un nuevo libro aunque estará ubicado antes que este). Quizás hubiera preferido un final distinto aunque como bien dice King durante el libro, " lo importante es el camino y no el final". ( )
