Actualmente no hay Conversaciones sobre este libro. just finished a queen-sized plain spoken, and it's beautiful! i love using solids, which i've never thought much about before. the quilting also inspired me to dust off my free-motion foot and learn how to do it, and honestly, it's opened a whole new quilting door for me. i'm not sure whether i'll make another from this book anytime soon, but it's totally worth it just for the inspiration. ( ) So many quilting books are very traditional in aesthetic-- generally, modern-styled sewing books are more 'project' oriented ones instead of quilting ones-- so The Modern Quilt Workshop is a refreshing change. I really like quilting, but I'm not a huge fan of literal or really kitschy or traditional looking designs. In general, this book avoids those, and in fact, a few of the offered projects are fairly breath-taking, in my opinion. Beyond just this discussion of aesthetics, the knowledge contained in the book is also very helpful. I really enjoy the discussions of color theory and spatial decisions to be made, and I really appreciated the information given to sew each quilt in several different sizes, which is extremely useful for a beginning quilter not yet quite confident to resize designs on one's own. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
