I liked this book for two reasons. One reason was because of the illustrations. The pictures were very vibrant and colorful. It was bright to the point where it draws the reader in and tells the story without the words. In the pictures you can see this little boy and girl eating lunch and riding bikes without having to read the words. Another reason why I like this book is because of the language. I think the language is very fitting for k-2nd grade readers. It is easy enough for them to understand it but challenging enough for them to learn new words. I think the main idea of this book is to show readers different ways to play outside and have fun. ( )

I liked this book because it was a great book to use and integrate with music in the classroom. The pattern in the book is "what shall we do when we all go out, all go out all go out, what shall we do when we all go out all go out to play." It's an easy book to read for kids since it repeats the same thing on every page with addition words on what they do. The book is also organized in the times of the day which helps with the flow of the book. It starts out with what they do when they all go out, then to lunch, and evening. I also loved the illustrations that were used in the book. Each picture gave a perfect understanding of the words of the page and they used vivid and bright colors. ( )

I enjoyed listening to my music teacher read/sing this book and participating in the motions that go along with it. I really like the patterned language in this story, which can be read normally or sung as a song. Each page repeats the line, "What shall we do when we all go out?" It then suggests a different outdoor activity on each page. The illustrations are also fun and descriptive. When it suggests that we all ride our three-wheeled bikes, there is a picture of happy children riding their bikes. The main takeaway of this book is that there are endless activities to do outside. In fact, there are so many that they could take up your entire day. I think this is especially important for children in today's world who are so connected to technology that they neglect outdoor time. ( )

In my opinion this is a great book. The writing is organized and paced well. Using repetition on each page, the author hooks the reader in with catchy rhymes and patterns. In addition, the characters are also well developed and participate in activities that the readers would also likely participate in, such as riding a bike. The main idea of this book is to list activities kids can do when they want to play outside. ( )
