Tim really enjoys their time together and looks forward to these visits. The book shares the story of what a day looks like for Tim and his Dad. It shares Tim's emotions about knowing his time with his Dad is limited and is going to end, but it also demonstrates that he can enjoy the time with him while it lasts. This story is a gentle look at a delicate situation where a child gets limited time with one parent or the other. Although the book does not mention divorce in the language, the writing style and suggestive plot allow the reader to infer that this is the situation. The character, Tim, is relatable to children as he is a young boy excited to see his Dad who has just moved to another town. This book by Bo R. Holmberg tells the story of a young boy who's father comes to visit him for the day. The boy is from a divorced family and only gets to see his father occasionally. This story is wonderful for children that come from divorced families because they can relate to the main character and the emotions he is feeling throughout the story. It also shows how the father has unconditional love for his son even though they can not see each other all the time. Overall, it is a wonderful story that many children can relate to.
