Glass has a way of bringing the reader into her home and the lives of the foster children In her care. I had trouble putting this book down.

Tayo was snatched by his mother at the age of five. Now he has been taken into foster care. He wants to return to his father and grandmother in Nigeria but no one knows if his memories are true or just wishful thinking. ( )

This was a surprisingly good read about a woman who has spent 23 years as a foster mother and who discusses one of the charges she had for 10 months and how the case was resolved. I learned a great deal about how much foster parents have to do and how resilient and ready to respond to anything they must be. It was so fascinating that I read it in a single day, which is a very unusual for me. ( )
