He grew up to travel and spread apple seeds around the country side. This is a good legend because it is about a real person but also isn't confirmed that it is a true story. I would use this for intermediate. Illustrations: watercolor In this story you learn about life of Johnny Appleseed. Johnny Appleseed in a determined individual who learns how to persevere through all his problems. At a young age Johnny decides to leave home and head towards the western frontier. He leaves and is able to creatively solve his problem by selling appleseeds to survive. Finally he is able to make it out west and settle, proving that he is able to persevere. Summary: This story of Johnny Appleseed goes into deep detail of his life and the real man that he was. It begins by telling us when and where he was born and who his parents were. It gives us the background of his life and how his grandparents were the ones that raised him and his sister. Uses: This book is very informational when I didn't expect it to be. The main purpose for reading this book would be if you were studying johnny appleseed or had a rude to who wanted to learn about the movement of early settlers. This book contained more information about Johnny Appleseed than I had every know was out there. It goes into great detail and balanced images and the copious amounts of text very well. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
