The cover of this book intrigued me. Basically a still life of a mushroom man and his mushroom dog, photoshopped in a food village. Young readers may enjoy seeing vegetables presented in a friendly way but the story is simple and I think there are other books that may do a better job of getting kids to enjoy vegetables. Play With Your Food comes to mind. ( )
