James is a thirties-something stock broker living a good life in New York dating the fashionable Jane, who has every intention of marrying him. A comfortable life, but going no where. Then his father dies leaving James as the Laird of the tiny and impoverished Scottish island of Ogg, which he has never visited. While in London to tidy up his fathers affairs James bumps into his old university friend Geoff who just happens to need an island like Ogg. James is then caught up by the most fascinating and bizarre tourist scheme ever devised moving from London to Rumania, Madagascar, Kenya and finally back to Scotland.James Campbell is a 28 year old sharebroker, single, imbued with middle-class values, and bored. But his life changes dramatically when he inherits Ogg, a tiny, forgotten island in the Western Hebrides of Scotland. This leads him into the crazy world of Alceides, a mystery company providing 'services' to the super-rich classes that emerged in the nineties.
