-starts with the second half of a cliffhanger that started in vol 27.
-the next mystery was a bit run of the mill, but made me cringe when accents like Tony Soprano is used to signify somebody 'speaking' like an Osakan. Ya unduh stand? Or yuh sleep wit dah fishies. Capiche?
-the third mystery "The Mermaid's Curse" lasted for 5 chapters. Was long, or it just felt long with its convoluted series of events wrapped in a tale of local legend. Possibly written for a movie adaptation? Also, is it just me does the Dugons look like Manatees? Why not just translate it as manatees then?
-and the last chapter ends with another cliffhanger.
As usual, nothing new, everything status quo, with the usual convoluted crime that would have been more logical for the criminal to just kill the person and dump the body instead of creating a series of events for Scooby Doo and his gang to solve. ( )
