This is an excellent starter book for the Tin Whistle. It has simple songs that were popular for this instruments, fingerings, a small history. ( )

I've got a tin whistle, and I plan to learn to play it, but beyond showing me the fingering, I'm not sure this will help me learn. There are no beginner exercises to help practice, and the only way the beginner tunes look easier is that they are shorter. It is neat that there are a lot of historical tunes, I just wish that there was something like "Jingle Bells" to start us off. ( )
