I gave the first book 2 stars, which was actually generous because I had to force myself to finish it. Book two I gave three stars because it was a little bit better than the first. This one is also getting three stars, although it's really more like 3.5. It's not good enough for a 4, but better than a three.
This book has much more story and action than the first two, and I actually wanted to pick it up during some parts. I still have no emotional connection to any of the characters and I don't understand why its taking so long for the end battle to happen. There are so many characters! It is sometimes hard to remember who people are and all the point of view switching gets difficult to read. However, the story has more substance than the previous two.
All in all, I'd say skip it. I own the entire series and I don't like to give up on books so I'm pushing through to the end. If you're iffy about this book or the series, save your time and money. If you are one of the people who actually enjoyed the first two books, then go ahead and continue on with this one. (
