I love this book just because I connect with it. I love how the little boys dad is never too far away from him even though he is off serving his country. My dad is in the military and I went through the same thing the little boy did in this story. I think it sends a great message out to all the military families and especially to military children. ( )

My SIL is deployed and read this story, on unitedthroughreading.org, for my grandson. I listened to the wonderful tale of a father telling his son how they can still play catch, with the North Star, during the deployment. It explained where Dad was, how they will stay connected and how Daddy will come home and they can play again together in person. A Wonderful book for a difficult subject. I couldn't recommend this enough. ( )
