This book deals with the aftermath of a school nearby the Chalet School burning down, and the girls of that school being forced to join in the traditions and customs of the Chalet School. Another fairly episodic book, the main themes are about acceptance, and basically the fact that the Chalet school is full of 'Good Eggs' Like the first Chalet School book, this book explained the customs and traditions of the school and therefore was easier to read and understand. I felt like there was sometimes a little too much preaching about how great the Chalet School is, but that's to be expected, I guess. Basically a good read for reading while walking to the shops. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

The later books rather lose out without the strong and intuitive personalities of Jo Maynard and Mary-Lou. Focus in this one is mainly on the younger girls and their feud, which makes for some interesting storylines, but none of the girls from either school stand out.
I’m sure I must have read this book as a teenager, and probably at least once in the intervening years, but I have no memory of it at all. So while it wasn’t anything special, it made a pleasant enough light read for a few evenings. ( )
