I used this book for a month and a half this summer while I studied in London. I found it to be generally accurate, although many of the prices are no longer valid due to the abysmal exchange rate, and think that it has a lot to recommend it. The size, which is small, makes it particularly useful as you can easily conceal it in a purse or pocket. The text is organized by London neighborhoods, each with its own individual map and a list of the highlights in the area. This makes it easy to find the sights in whatever area you're visiting. There is a tube map on the back cover, which makes for easy consultation, and a removable fold-out city map which, I must confess, I never used. Anything I couldn't find in the small, neighborhood maps I looked for on my larger, more comprehensive city map. The Lonely Planet maps aren't as detailed as I might like, but they're good for finding popular sights, restaurants, museums, etc. Therefore, if you're visiting London as a tourist, this little item should meet most of your needs!
