Eh, just another story about a kind girl who gets what she wants because she's nice to strangers. At least this time her goal isn't to become a princess. The best part of the book were the expressions of the girl's grouchy dog, Brumble. ( )

A young girl and her loving mother lived deep in the woods. When Celia's mother became suddenly ill, only sweet water from her childhood, she would live. Braving the terrors of the forest, including the screams of a wild child, a wretched woman of the water and a very mad man of the mountain, Celia was able to find the well containing the magic water. Bottling the water and returning through the forest, in her haste to get the water to her mother, she fell and all water was gone.

As she cried while holding her mother, her sobs and cascading tears fell on her mother and her mother was cured. ( )
