John Rocco ~ June 28 Author/illustrator, John Rocco has never ceased to amaze us with his books. Blackout, about a family & community reconnecting with each other after disconnecting from their devices because of a power outage, was a huge favorite of ours last year. Wolf, Wolf is a fantastic retelling of the Boy Who Cried Wolf. He's illustrated Katherine Paterson's novel, The Flint Heart, AND he's coming to Hicklebee's! Thursday, June 28 @ 3:00
After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, John worked with Whoopi Goldberg ceating the picture book, Alice. He worked as an art director with the computer graphics pioneer Robert Abel, the man responsible for some of the very first CGI commercials and special effects. At Walt Disney Imagineering, he helped design many attractions at Disney’s Epcot. While at Dreamworks, he was the pre-production art director for Shrek.
