Exit here. Enter apathy. Jason Myers pushes the limits of teen fiction with this tale of love, addiction, and wrong choices. Travis is back from college for the summer, and he's just starting to settle in to the usual pattern at home: drinking, drugging, watching porn, and hooking up. But Travis isn't settling in like he used to; something isn't right. Maybe it's that deadly debauch in Hawaii, the memories of which Travis can't quite shake. Maybe it's Laura, Travis's ex, who reappears on the scene after a messy breakup and seems to want to get together -- or not. Or maybe it's his suddenly sensing how empty and messed up his life is, and wanting out. But once you're at the party, it's tough to leave...… (más)

This story was definantly different from anything ive read. It was an easy read and kept me engaged. If you are in to books about people with messy complicated lives this is the one to read. Overall it wasnt a bad book. ( )

Absolutely loved this book! It gave me a different perspective of things and how things can happen and change so quickly! There were some mature parts and a strong use of drugs, if anybody is not comfortable reading about that material I do not recommend. ( )

This book is pretty intense and vulgar. If you can handle it, read it. I've read it 4 or 5 times now, it's darkness is actually kind of comforting to me. If you ca handle the depth and insanity, crack it open the second you get the chance. ( )

"Exit Here" was an amazing book. It is based on the authors life. The lies, the stress, the drug use and abuse.
This is a very action packed, deep, and graphic book. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.
I would be careful who I recommend it to though. For example I wouldn't recommend it to a sixth grader because they might not have the same maturity level as an eighth grader, or someone older. This is definitely a grade 8 and up book.
This may not be a book for everybody because of some of the situations, and such, because this is a very mature read.
This book contains, some murder, and drug use. Even though I liked it, it can be intense for some. This might seem like a bad review but it's not, I would just read the book before I started to read the book.
I would rate this book with 5 stars. ( )

I think that the author, Jason Myers of the book I read, Exit here made his story an interesting twist of a real world lifestyle. The use of his characters and settings were as if it was a real situation that could happen to anyone that was into drugs and partying. As Travis (main character) comes back from his trip to Maui, he jumps back into the same old habits from high school. Just this time they aren't as bad. His friends and girlfriend are back in his home town being the same people there were a couple months ago when Travis left. Though when Travis returns home, he has a dark secret, but instead of getting help he just uses drugs and alcohol to keep his mind off of what happened in Maui. At some point, Travis decides to come clean of the partying scene, and get on with a real lifestyle.
