Don't let the number of pages scare you; i took a deep breath and dove in; and found myself swimming to the end. What a great book bundle! With just enough snippets of history to give it that touch of realism there was a good mixture of action, romance and lasting friendships, as well as a flowing storyline, which made for a very enjoyable read. Will be checking my local library shelves for more of Neil port's books for sure. ( )

This book bundle groups 4 volumes and is not for the faint of heart : the sheer volume of it - on my e-reader, it numbers 2 337 pages - can be daunting, but it should not deter you from reading it.
I have read the four books, and it took me nearly 2 months.
There are action / battle descriptions that can be bloody, but they are balanced with love stories, life lessons and good characters, history and vista descriptions. It was an enjoyable read. ( )
