A great book that opens up conversations about taking ownership for and apologizing to repair relationships. Great for younger elementary kids.

Bailey wants to build a time machine. But not to see the pyramids of Egypt being built, or to talk alongside dinosaurs - but to go back to last Thursday, where she said the Thing to her best friend that made her mad and upset with her. She just wants to stop it from ever happening. But when the time machine is finished, Bailey discovers it's almost harder to go back to a time you regret than it is to actually build a machine.

This is a wonderful children's book about apologizing, forgiveness, and friendship.

Though you never find out exactly what Bailey says to her friend, this book still has an important message: it didn't matter what was said, it hurt her friend's feelings. So how should Bailey go about making it right.

This book gives amazing and wonderful talking points to parents, caregivers, and counselors to open the discussion for children on the act of apologizing and what that means. ( )

A really sweet book about learning to apologize. The illustrations are beautiful, and the inclusion of questions for before/during/after reading and apology do's and don'ts make this a great learning tool!

Beautifully illustrated and well written book for young children. Bailey, is regretting saying something to her friend that made her cry. She doesn’t know how to fix it and decides to build a Time Machine to go back in time and fix it. However, she couldn’t find anyone to help and she didn’t have her friend to help. When her friend arrives Bailey is happy and realizes that a Time Machine is not necessary but a sincere apology is. An excellent story that show’s children the benefits of apology.

Apologies can be hard for people of all ages. This book offers new insight to young readers, while also offering a refresher course on saying sorry for those that are older. It shows the journey Bailey had to take in order to mend her friendship, which makes it even more applicable to a real world setting.
