An interesting account of a portion of U.S. history I frankly had never heard of before taking this class: the U.S. military occupation of the Dominican Republic in 1916. One of the most arresting elements was the account of how the U.S. military struggled to deal with the guerrilla warfare practiced by Dominicans opposed to the occupation. To say that it foreshadowed the current situation in Iraq and Afghanistan is an understatement. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
