It's been a minute since I've read a book from Teagan Brooks but I'm glad she's finally back! Bear is book six from the Blackwings MC: Devil Springs Chapter and was great. A quick read packed with twists and turns, insta-love, and adorable kids. The spicy and violent scenes were played down a bit for me.
In this book you have Bear who is Batta's dad and he's trying to get back to a normal life since getting out of prison for killing the man that murdered his wife. One day at his wife's grave he meets an adorable little girl, Brinkley and her mom MacKenzie, who is a widow herself. They were there visiting her late husband's grave. From the start of them meeting Bear is protective of her when he notices she is being followed by someone. They were love at first sight and after trouble found it's way to them their new relationship jumped into overdrive like we see a lot with Alpha Bikers in books. The book is set around Christmas time and would make for a good read for the holiday season.
After waiting so long for Teagan to release a new book it was a bit disappointing that it wasn't longer than it was. I was able to read it in one sitting wishing it wouldn't have been so quick. And there could have been so much more added to it. I really hope she's isn't done with this series and comes out with a few more books. I like these guys and their Ol' Ladys especially Tatum who is Bear's daughter in law. This can be read as a standalone if you prefer. You don't have to read the first 5 books in the series to get what's going on. I recommend this for MC series readers. ( )
