Happily Evil After book 2
Light, fluffy, over the top was what I thought this book was heading toward but then about page forty things changed as Lynni appeared, Dori’s plans for Lynni and Barrett began to materialize, and the magic mystery problems both were facing were shown to possibly have a solution. Then, I was hooked and couldn’t stop reading till I finished the story.
This is the second book in the series, and I do wonder if I had read book one, Viktor, I would have been more clued in that Dori was going to be matchmaking misfits and doing some sleuthing and fixing along the way. The book stands on its own perfectly well, but I am now curious about what I might have missed.
I loved Barrett with Lynni and how the two grew closer through the story. They were perfect with and for one another. It was interesting to learn their backstories, find out about their parents, and learn why they were on the fringes of their communities. Dori was there just enough in the story to matchmake and show a bit of what will be happening in her own storyline in the future. Dori’s desire to hep misfits find happiness is going to provide plenty of fodder for future stories in this series.
This is a new-to-me author that I look forward to reading again. Thank you to NetGalley and Evernight Publishing for the ARC – this is my honest review.
