At the end of the last book Catherine went home because her dad had medical issues. She’s down on herself after seeing Levi kiss another girl and she does not want to go back to school. But her dad is smart and won’t let his issues get in her way. This book is both about Levi and Catherine but also the Simon/Snow fanfiction that she writes. It’s also about Catherine’s inability to come up with her own ideas. This is a fun tongue-in-cheek manga that makes you want to know what happens next and book four can’t get here fast enough. As with the previous volumes, I am really enjoying this way of revisiting Fangirl. The dialogue is lively and memorable (and satisfyingly faithful to the novel!), and I love how the illustrations tell the story. Capture actions. Convey emotions. I had to return the book to the library, so I’m quoting this scene, about Cath and Nick writing together, from the novel instead. Cath’s punchline is the same in both: [Nick said] “Yeah. But it’s like John Lennon writing with… Taylor Swift instead of Paul McCartney.” sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

I'm still not a fan of the Simon and Baz sequences though. That rubbish could have been left out. ( )
