This sense of time and place is crucial to any good time travel tale. The only unrealistic element, and one most readers would not notice, involves the condition of soil in a previously excavated spot. Original layers of soil would be disrupted and not be apparent in a subsequent excavation. I've personally done enough digging to know. The brutality of hand-to-hand combat and the toll of dead and wounded is conveyed. The death rate from wounds, before antiseptics and antibiotics, was much higher than we realize, but the process of infection and slow dying gave people time to say their farewells. The Celtic attitude towards death was refreshing. It was seen as the next step in life's journey, not an end. All in all, anyone interested in the mythic past, Roman Briton and the Celts would enjoy this adventure story. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
