The story was very intriguing and it caught my attention because it had to do with animals. It is hard to believe that people would use big cats to smuggle for gain. We are swept into the story with an investigation that goes deep undercover to take down the mastermind behind the illegal trading. It did give me something to think about as this could be happening in our own neighborhood without our knowledge. I was anxious to see where the author would take us on this dangerous mission. Elyse has been sent to infiltrate the enemy and rescue the endangered animals. For sone reason I could not connect with Elyse. She disobeyed orders, put herself in harms way as well as her partners.’ Every time there was a directive, she had a better idea. I didn’t really see any team work on her part at all until close to the end of the story. It was more like she wanted to be the hero and do it all on her own. Perhaps God has a lesson for her in pride. Dallas and Elyse have worked together and find themselves assigned to the same mission after being apart for awhile. I did like Dallas and his level head. He always thought through each plan and had the entire operation as his number one agenda to keep safe. It was hard for him to be part of watching what is done to the animals and is determined to stop it and send the right people to jail. The threats, bombs, scary boxes in a refrigerator all add up to someone wanting to kill Elyse and Dallas. The intensity is felt as the two try to stay one step head of the threat. The real drama happens when a coverup leads to finding a mole within the operation. There is a faith thread in the book which really shows up at the end to deliver a good message of trusting God. I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion. What I think you should know: Endangered Refuge, a contemporary Christian romantic suspense by Sherri Wilson Johnson is part of the Jeopardized Reunions Series. It is a standalone novel, although the series does have some elements connecting the stories. What you might need to know: There is violence in the book including murder and talk of feeding people to tigers What I think about this book: This was an action packed edge of your seat adventure! Best Friends, Dallas and Elyse, are Fish and Wildlife agents who have both been sent undercover and are shocked to find the other working on the opposite side of the same case to take down an enterprise that is selling Tigers to the highest bidder. Although there were a few times that I wanted to smack the main characters for letting down their guards and calling each other their real names or discussing the case in the open, I really enjoyed this story. The author did a great job of weaving a mystery that kept me guessing until the end. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Celebrate Lit, this in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own. As an introduction to this author, this book definitely makes me want to look for more. The agents with the USFWS experienced danger, with plenty of intrigue and even the chance to try to help stop the trafficking of rare tigers. Their situation was very believable and certainly not one I would want to find myself in. Toss a two-legged mole into the mix, and you have a book you will devour in one sitting, just to be sure the ending is what you are hoping for. This ebook in the Jeopardized Reunions Series was received through CelebrateLit. These thoughts are my own and were in no way solicited. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

I love the pace the author moved this story along. I also enjoyed getting to know Dallas and Elyse. The way they face the threat to their lives and continue to work the case illustrates the tenacity of special agents. The story moved at a pace I appreciated. Plus I loved how the author developed the characters.
So if you enjoy Christian suspense novels or ones centered around wildlife and crime rings full of suspense. I definitely recommend this book. So check it out for yourself.
