Not my favorite of the authors. It did pick up as the book went on, but so much of it I was screaming at the FMC. ( )

Bad enough that I felt embarrassed with myself for reading it. ( )

I hate to rate this as a 3.5 because I absolutely love Jeneva Rose, but sadly I didn't find it as twisty or as shocking as I was expecting. It's definitely a quick read, and oddly the pages are thick and the book is heavy! LOL! Random, but it's the first time I've come across that in a book. It's definitely a book you can sit down and read in one sitting. It was a game of cat and mouse, but I could see all along that something was off with her. SPOILER: I figured out early on that he killed the wife, Lisa, in the truck and that he was driving, not his brother. So that wasn't shocking. And I kept waiting for her to turn on him. The only part that I didn't guess is that she just killed for fun. I thought she was going to be the missing girl's sister or Lisa's family seeking revenge. But she really does just like to randomly murder people and then go back to her life with her kids and husband. Still a good read just guessed the ending and what I didn't guess I didn't find shocking. I probably wouldn't recommend this to many people. It pains me to say all of this, because I think the author is fantastic and amazing and deserves only good reviews, but I want to be honest as well. ( )
