Felicity and Hutton have been friends for a very long time, and they are the only two that truly understand each other’s quirks. Felicity is smart, yet she has always felt like she wasn’t enough compared to her sisters and suffers from her real mother taking off at a young age. She has worked hard for what she has wanted, but now she wants what she shouldn’t and that is her best friend. Hutton, this beautiful man, is a billionaire because he is a genius, but he comes with his own set of insecurities. I loved that this handsome man was vulnerable and the only person who understood and knew how to help him was Felicity. Hutton suffers from overthinking everything he comes across and the anxiety that comes with that is unbearable for him that it kept him from ever going after Felicity when he wanted to, until now. With Felicity’s ability to spout craziness when she is under pressure a crazy plan comes to fruition that she is now engaged to Hutton, and even crazier, Hutton wants to go along with it because now he will get the girl without the fear of ruining a friendship. When truths, lies, and lines start to blur feelings take on a life of themselves and become overwhelming for two people who swear they aren’t meant to be in serious relationships because of their quirks. Can they work through the ups and downs together or will the anxiety of it all crumble them? Will Hutton ever se just how truly amazing he is and deserves the love of his life? These two characters were truly a breath of fresh air with all their realistic issues it made me fall in love with them even more. ( ) This was fine but didn’t keep me riveted; I managed to read an entire Medieval trilogy of over 1800 pages between starting this and finally finishing it. I think that I just didn’t feel much about Felicity or Hutton; their HEA will work because they’d been friends since middle school, but I had a hard time seeing it in the story’s real time. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

"I didn't mean to say I was engaged to a hot billionaire-it just slipped out. In my defense, I'd had a really bad haircut, a really strong drink, and I was trying to save face in front of the Mean Girl at my high school reunion. Lucky for me, I happen to know a hot billionaire. Hutton French and I have been friends forever, and even though big social gatherings are not his thing, I called him from the coat closet and begged him for a favor-show up and play my fake fian? for the night. Except that word of our engagement spreads like wildfire. Our families are ecstatic. We're front page news. My little food blog is launched into the stratosphere. Of course, I offer to set the record straight right away, but Hutton wants to give it a little time-the phony engagement will keep his matrimony-mad mother and every matchmaking granny in town off his back. He even suggests I move in with him to make the ruse more real. And we don't stop there. We practice kissing. Undressing each other. Saying things-and doing things-we'd never dare if we weren't pretending. Because it's all for show, right? We're just role-playing. Hutton doesn't want a real relationship, and I don't want to get hurt. But the more time we spend faking it, the more I start to wonder. Could Hutton French and I actually be right for each other, or is it all just one big tease?"--Back cover. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
