A pictorial history covering the period from Pershing's Mexican Punitive Expedition in 1916 thru to the 1980s. The use of Indian scouts during the Expedition; military attache's during WWI, the beginnings of aerial intelligence, the development of military intelligence specialists and the training of cryptographers (all male) radio intelligence, photo intelligence, the SIS, intelligence operators on the home front and European and Pacific and CBI Theaters during World War II, the Cold War (Korea) and Vietnam. References to women are scattered throughout the volume. Page 22 shows the id card of one Helen Hubbard of the Military Intelligence Division of the war Department, a photo of an AEF counterintelligence unit in Belgium during WWI which show two women stenographers, one 1929 photo shows a woman as part of the SIS staff, civilian women analysts at Arlington Hall and SSA during World War II, no pictures of women after World War II.
