Allow a very long, full day for this PG15 cozy set in Lemon Tree Bay, Victoria, Australia where hairdresser Clara Mitchell, accountant Lucas Pepper, and Senior Constable Adam Billings have come temporarily in their searches for success in Melbourne.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. ( )

I don't have any strong reactions to this book. It was a good mix of romance and mystery, but if you want something that focuses mostly on the mystery part of the story, then you probably wouldn't want to read this book. It definitely has a lot of drama in it, stuff you would expect more from a romance, but I don't think it took away or overshadowed the mystery of the story.

The main character, Clara, seemed to get caught up in the mystery naturally, she didn't have to try too hard to insert herself in there. It all flowed really well. The first chapter really sets the stage for the story. It creates a moment of suspense that draws you in and keeps you along for the rest of the story.

I will say that I didn't have everything figured out immediately, but as I continued reading, I could recognize that certain things were going to come into play, I just didn't know how yet. It kept me guessing and trying to piece everything together, without giving me a ton of details to sort through and analyze., this added to my enjoyment of it as a story.

I found the characters to be interesting, so I will probably continue with the series for that reason.

I received an ARC of this book for free via BookSirens, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. ( )
