I have tried many other books and this one gives "modern use" examples and exercises rather than outdated words/phrases (like most books).
Additionally, Mr. Revere has a website that you can ask him questions on...nice guy!
I would suggest before trying ANY book about learning Korean that you FIRST learn to read Korean. The sysmbols are easy to learn and it can be accomplished in a day. You may not know what it means but you will be able to sound out the words. This makes learning the language SO MUCH easier. (
