Kind of...pointless? I don't see why she had to stay (though I see why she had to go back...sort of). The sister didn't seem that important when she left, so I was surprised at her reaction. ( )

***My thoughts about the story ''The Mermaid Astronaut''***
As a short story this one felt complete. And I like the idea behind it. It just didn't sparked any excitement in me. There is nothing wrong with it but it was also nothing special.
