An emotional and sexy novel about guarded hearts, finding love, and families lost and found by Melissa Foster, the New York Times bestselling author of Maybe We Will. After spending years wondering who she was, tattoo artist Cait Weatherby finally found her answers on the sandy shores of Silver Island. With two half sisters she never knew existed, a group of friends she adores, and a devastatingly charming admirer who flirts with her at every turn, she's ready to figure out her next steps. The trouble is, Cait lives in the shadows of a dark past, and she can't afford complications that might cause her to lose the family she's only just found--complications like blue-eyed boatbuilder Brant Remington, who is as open as she is guarded. If only the sexy charmer would take the hint... Brant is Cait's opposite in every way, but he's drawn to everything about the sexy newcomer--from the quiet strength that rivals the caution in her mossy-green eyes to her tough facade that he can't wait to strip away. As Brant works his magic, Cait's walls come down. But as sweet as that feels, Cait knows how quickly good things can turn bad. It's going to take more than a little trust to beat the ghosts of her past and claim the future they both deserve. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

Silver Harbor #2
Cait Weatherby met her sisters in book one of this series. She was adopted, had a rough childhood, made a life for herself as a tattoo artist and then received an inheritance that was divided between her, Deirdre, and Abby. Abby’s story was told in book one when she met Aidan and my guess is that Deirdre’s will be next.
What I liked:
* Small town romance with big families and big hearts
* The link to various other series written by the author
* Cait: strong, independent, wounded, guarded, talented, artistic, caring, survivor, tentative, has “dreams”, difficult backstory, shows quite a bit of growth through the story.
* Brant: boat builder, patient, charming, open, caring, from a large family, saved by a mermaid, knew Cait was for him almost immediately, willing to pursue what he wants.
* Scrappy: a small dog that broke the ice between Brant and Cait
* The support group that was like family that Cait had at the tattoo parlor
* The growing bond between the three sisters
* The letter Cait received from Ava
* Cait’s confrontation of her fears – more than one time
* The growth of the relationship between Cait and Brant
* The movie on the lawn that reminded of the one my parents let me have on our lawn when I was in high school
* Knowing that there will be at least one more book to read in this series, and perhaps more
What I didn’t like:
* Cait’s painful backstory and hearing how rough it really was
* Knowing that such painful childhoods are real and happen to more people than we imagine
Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Yes
Thank you to NetGalley, Montlake Romance, and the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.
