What a sweet story with two wonderful guys, and if that isn't enough...there's a cute, cuddly little dog. You definitely need to have read the first book in this series in order for this one to make any sense. That being said, Alex and Simon are a couple that will win your heart and make you root for them to find happiness with one another. Each guy deals with his own feelings of inadequacy but are able to see the other one for the person they are beneath and all his potential. I thought that Simon was able to accept all of the rituals and the magic surrounding Alex and his group a bit to easily. In spite of that, watching average guy Alex dance around his feelings for top boss Simon, who turns out is a closet introvert, was so much fun. Then when you add in the universe kidnapping the pup right out of Alex's sight and placing it to Simon's doorstep is almost too cute. Overall, it was a wonderful story, as are most of Amy Lane's books. This story has no angst, but is filled with friendship bonds, and sexy times. The ending was a cliffhanger so I'm looking forward to the next one in this series. ( )
