WHAT A REVENGE MISDIRECTED! I loved this story, but I thought Heather was going to get over her head when she accepted Jared invitation to come to Lake Placid for the weekend. She had not seen nor heard from Jared since he left her hot and bothered with no goodbye, or a note as she slept through the early morning. After a failed attempt to marry, it was she that realized what a mistake it would be, now all of a sudden Jared wants her to come for the weekend and she plotted her revenge by walking out on him THIS TIME! I loved that Jared never forgot Heather but he was shipping out and he didn't know IF he'd be back as war was such a nasty business and his brother had married in haste and now he was paying for it with being a part time dad after his divorce, and he didn't want anything to do with that. He thought that when he invited Heather to visit to see the snow, after she talked how she wanted to see it he vowed that he would show her a good time. ( )
