Best friends-to-more is one of my favorite tropes, and Courtney Walsh is one of my favorite authors, so I knew I was in for a treat when I got this book. I definitely wasn’t disappointed! I was hooked from the first page and kept those pages turning to the end. Set in Nantucket and populated with lovable, realistic characters, this story was a delightful and charming read. Prudence and Hayes were wonderful together, and I loved seeing their relationship grow. Although this is a fairly short story, it felt complete and not rushed. I recommend this book to those who enjoy sweet, clean contemporary romance. ( )

A Match Made at Christmas by Courtney Walsh is a sweet and festive Christmas novella to accompany her Nantucket series. It never fails to amaze me how authors can write meaningful stories with such depth in so few words! But I love novellas for their fast pace and quick satisfaction. A Match Made at Christmas is the perfect Christmas novella for this year. It is full of hope, love, and a lot of Christmas magic.
I loved Pru. Her independence, ingenuity, and her weakness for the hunky man she has placed firmly in the friend zone years ago. I enjoyed the history between Pru and Hayes and their easy, comfy-like-an-old-favorite-thirt relationship. And I’m sure my huband can testify that their witty conversations led to more than a few giggles and contented sighs.
If you are a fan of Christmas romantic magic (do you watch Hallmark movies?), then you will adore this story. And since it’s a novella, you can read it quickly as a break from all the holiday hub-bub. I would recommend A Match Made at Christmas to any fan of Christian fiction.
