There's some important life lesson in here. Chloe doesn't necessarily want to go to the carnival with her Dad, but her mom says it's important to tell him. If you don't vocalize your opinion to your friends or family, you won't both be able to enjoy what you plan to do together. There's so many more great bits of mom wisdom throughout this book, and it makes my heart sing! It's super grown up for a book that could easily be for middle graders and young adults.
This book is very cute and a sweet graphic novel. It's something fun to jump into and just enjoy the fun. Especially if you want a little book about family and that makes you feel good.
Four out of five stars.
