Having a story take place from start to finish in the course of a day, even with multiple characters, can be a bit trying when read. I mean, you usually get one end of the spectrum (over detailed) or the other (too vague and broad), making it less than enjoyable...which is DEFINITELY NOT the case here! The chapters were labeled (THANK YOU!) to keep you on track with who's voice it was written in and what time (year). The characters were distinct, so even if one wasn't paying close enough attention, you could still easily hold the narrative thread. The way the story unfolded from past to present was absolutely mind-boggling, and yet felt genuine, making it so I really wanted to smack a few about the head in SEVERAL places...and those characters as a whole really make the story the wonderful piece that it is.

To sum, a GREAT STORY filled with life, love, loss, and heart. It reminds us that it's never too late to discover our true selves, or our true hearts, and that forgiveness (in the right circumstances) can be next to godliness. So take a break in your summer days to explore this particular one and see just how carried away a heart can get.
