What did I just read? There is way more suspense to this story than I was expecting. Life for Ellen has never been easy but it sure got worse if that is even possible. My heart broke for her from the beginning of this story where she was a little girl. I cannot imagine living in the shadows like she was forced to do.
There is a lot at play here, and I don't think that this book even really touched the surface. I still have so many questions. Even as dark as certain elements of this story was, I still was drawn to Mischa. Especially, toward the end when I understood what was motivating him. However, I am still trying to decide how everything connects. These two had history and I want to know more. I also want to know more about Briar because something isn't right there. Looking forward to the next book and getting more answers. (
