Stuff happens, but it’s over almost before it begins. Kind of “let’s hurry up and get this over with” more than a novel. I liked the earlier parts of the series. This wasn’t *bad* writing, it was lackadaisical and rushed. I will likely buy another Gayla Drummond book. I simply don’t feel this was a fully realized novel.
