More than just a book of quilt patterns with instructions, this book explores the community aspect of quilt making. In past times, women gathered around quilts as a social activity, whether it be a church function making quilts to give to needy families, or a gathering of friends who simply like working together. There are several quilt patterns given, with many hints of ways to share the work.
