Alex Preston's friend Lawrence has bought an island and he invites Alex to spend some time there with him. The only problem is Lawrence has to leave to take care of some business and leaves Alex to fend for himself. Alex decides to invite his girlfriend to spend some time with him there while Lawrence is away, but she doesn't stay long as she gets spooked from the ghosts that are roaming the island and she goes back home.
The only other people on the island are some caretakers that live on the island and they take care of the house along with the property, so Alex is never really completely alone, but then Alex ends up being chased by ghosts, a couple of hitmen, and there is a strange, wild-eyed man running loose on the island.
The story takes off from the first chapter and it lead me through a suspenseful, ghostly romp all the way to the end of the book!
Giving this one four stars. (
