This book is 86 pages. Amazon tells me typical time to read is 2 hours. Who takes 2 hours to read 20 minutes worth of story?

It was okay. Neither really romantic nor really smutty. Characterization wasn’t really there. The ending was a let down since you didn’t get a pay off by learning what was truly going on with the alien deposits Phi was leaving in the heroine. ( )

I had previously read this story when it was part of an anthology. It was one of my favorites from that collection. I am a little disappointed that this wasn't expanded on. That was what I was hoping for when I saw that she was turning it into a solo story. I would have to go back and look at the anthology but I don't remember anything being different.

That being said, this is still good. Great world-building, an interesting storyline that could all be to close to home for me it was to happen, and an interesting ending. I would have liked to have seen more in regards to the characters because there was something under the surface and I really wanted to dive into that because it felt complex plus, I know that this author always puts little meaty morsels into her story that is up to her readers to figure out the meaning. She is evil like that. ( )

Emily and Phi are really hot together. He really wants to take care of her. I don't know if it starts out that he wants to take care of her because she's Emily or because he wants to have a mate. It's a really interesting question. I think that Emily eventually feels something for him, but I don't know.

This seems like a very nice, happy, sweet story, and I guess it is. Whatever it is, it's hot. Phi has all kinds of add ons which make me really want to get to know him a little better. Or a lot better. Whatever.

I would love to get more out of this world, because there are so many other aliens and stories out there. ( )
