Note: I accessed digital review copies of this book through Edelweiss and NetGalley. Number 3 Maple Street is shown in cutaway view like a dollhouse, as the different apartment-dwellers prepare for their day. It's Little Rabbit's birthday; Little Fox is getting a new baby brother; Bear has the sniffles; the three little mice are bouncing off the walls; and a new cat family is moving in. A short paragraph on each page describes some, but not all, of the action - there are plenty of delightful details in the illustration, such as a small ghost, a toy, a spider, and a ladybug that move around the house; a mailman who delivers mail; Goldilocks, Little Red Riding Hood, three little pigs, and a wolf; and a bird family living in a tree near the house. A wonderful book to page through slowly, noticing something new each time. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
"A glimpse into a day in the life of the different residents who live alongside one another in an apartment building at 3 Biscuit Street. Centring on the Bunny family, readers will also discover another 11 mini-narratives in the illustrations, where they'll see what the apartment building's other residents are up to on every floor, track the antics of passersby, and observe the Bird family in the neighbouring tree. This multilayered (and multilevel!) picture book humorously and heartwarmingly explores the concept of community."-- No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
