Overall, as a fascinating insight into how a woman becomes enthralled with a sadistic and violent man, this book probably deserves four stars; I enjoyed it except for the mistakes which kept pulling me out of the story into a frustrated reality. Aside from the spelling errors (tact instead of tack, prize rather than prise, for example) the anachronisms were particularly irritating showing a flawed attitude to research. If you choose to set a story in a specific time, it helps the reader if you stay there. ( ) 3.5 stars I had high hopes for this book. The mystery behind it and the foreshadowing in the prologue had me hooked. The story lost its oomph for me when the storyline became more sex than actual story. Which says something because I really REALLY love sex and this author can write some hot stuff. But for once I wanted to know more about the story because she had created an amazing plot filled with suspense. As much as I want to know the secrets of why, and how Ethan and Lily have the connection they do, I'm on the fence as to whether I am going to continue. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
