This book was not at all what I had expected; it should have come with a health warning. The language was extreme and the content was more like a book of erotica in parts. I had to put it down and take a break of nearly two weeks before I could resume.
I was hoping for something altogether different as we followed the path of a £20 note in the first story and then a $20 bill in subsequent stories. Unfortunately the money passed through the hands of the seedy underworld, with sex, violence and profanities.
The book was very misogynistic, even a girl having a shower was explained as if the author was standing in the door ogling her.
I was listening to the audiobook and I wasn't much more impressed with the narrator, whose patronising sing-song voice made me feel as if I was listening to a children's narrator. Every time the £20 note or $20 bill was referred to he emphasised the words, as if we were not capable of picking out the words for ourselves.
Avoid this one at all costs. ( )
