A slim volume with some general primary sources. The problem with this book is that it's such a broad topic crammed into such a small space. This book is more of a sampling of primary sources of the time period than any sort of substantial contribution. Good for those seeking a general historical background, but I wouldn't recommend it for those with more than a passing interest in history. (
