This manga volume is a great introduction for anyone interested in an action mixed with supernatural horror. It's fairly tame for its body horror and scares. The humor and heartfelt moments add to the experience. ( )

I enjoyed chapters 1, 2, and 6 the most in this volume. (There are 7 chapters total.) I wasn't sure what to expect, except some straight-forward monsters and action. I did get those elements, but also there is some depth as to the main character's motives and history. Also, not going to lie, but the way the "dogs" are summoned is pretty neat.

Throughout this volume, I was wondering if we would ever return to spend more time with Sasaki and Iguchi... ( )

Not something I usually read, this book really caught my eye not only because of the cover, but because of the really impactful description. I mean, how could you say no to a book about a boy turning into a demon curse while also fighting them along the way? I had to check it out! It's like I didn't even have a choice. What I didn't know however, was just how gory a black and white book could be, and really just how strange something like this could be for me to read. That being said, I really did enjoy reading it.
