I think that Callie Hart loves to tease us and torture us and see what she can do to her characters so that we start crying. (Or maybe just tear up, but you know what I mean)

Fix has been told that he has to go steal this thumb drive from the guy who runs a building that is basically 15 floors of Fight Club. Fix has beaten it before, which means that he should be let in at the highest level, but no, he has to fight. And his last fight? Zeth. Yes, that Zeth. He and Zeth decide that they can work together to get the thumb drive that he needs to keep Sera safe.

Sera has been running and running and running for so long, but now, she finally feels she's safe with Fix, but it seems like maybe Fix's house may not be the safest place for her to be, but she's got an assault rifle and she isn't afraid to use it.

I like so many things about this story. One of them is figuring out where this fits in with Zeth's story, which we are able to do. I love that Fix is there for Sera, no matter what, and that he listens to her when she says she wants something to happen in a certain way. I also loved getting more of Sera's history as well as more of Fix's. ( )

Fantastic conclusion. Sweet lord. So much suspense and craziness. Questions are answered and all the pieces fall into place.

Felix and his dirty mouth was still the stuff of legends and Sera was just as fiery and feisty. I'm really wanting a story about Zeth now. ( )
